Lapel Parks Dept. Announces an Exciting Sponsorship Opportunity

LAPEL (April 28, 2014) – The Town of Lapel Parks and Recreation Department has announced their plans for the Inaugural Golf Tournament to support their efforts. The event will take place on August 8th at the The Edge Golf Course in Edgewood and is in need of sponsors for the event. Details regarding the tournament and sponsorship opportunities can be directed to parks@lapelindiana.org

After becoming an official Department of the Town of Lapel last year, the Lapel Parks and Recreation Department have been hard at work raising support and interest in their efforts. The Parks and Recreation Department has already made many improvements since their rise in power including, but not limited to: purchasing new playground equipment, gaining funding and approval and installation of a splash pad, creating a five year plan, hosting a successful Park Movie Experience Series, and just recently announced the inaugural Pooch Parade on May 17th in Woodward Park. In addition to these exciting events in Lapel, the board is working hard at hosting a benefit for the department in the form of an annual golf tournament.

All proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Lapel Parks and Recreation Department. In order for the event to be a success, the board is looking for sponsors. Sponsorship levels vary from $100 hole sponsors, which include special banners at the hole upwards to title sponsorship at the $2,500 level with several additional levels in between. Interested sponsors should contact the parks department at parks@lapelindiana.org or call the Vice President, Steve Tipps at 317-223-5147 prior to July 15th. All checks can be mailed to the Lapel Parks Department at PO Box 999 Lapel, IN 45051.

While Lapel is just a small town, the Parks and Recreation Department are confident that their hard work is worth it. “We were shocked at how many people poured into Woodward Park this summer for the Park Movie Experience Series and it really got us excited to do more for the town. We want to provide services that are high quality and encourage the people of Lapel to bring their family and friends from all over. Lapel is a small town with a lot to give, and we want to make sure we give back to our community. The programs, events, and parks are there to show we care about the town and the families in it.” stated Steve Tipps.

The Town of Lapel Parks and Recreation Department strives to provide quality parks for the residents of Lapel and Stony Creek Township. With your support, we can make our goals a reality.
